Long-term parking near Portland (Maine) Airport

I want to leave a car up in Maine for 6-8 weeks starting in July so that I can section hike on weekends. Typically, I would arrive each Friday night, and leave Monday, but will likely skip some weekends.

Airport parking is $12/day. Hotel programs for parking are expensive that time of year. Best I have seen is the train station + taxi ($4/day + cab or bus each way). Any other good options? Thanks!

Concord Coach / Amtrak in Portland is now $6/day. They also ask for a ticket (at times) to cut down on long-term parking. Don't know of alternatives since I face the same dilemma at times. Concord Coach in Augusta has free parking if that works with your plans.

Well the Maine mall is about a mile away, I think Staples is even closer , basically on the other side of the runway on the far end. Obviously not secure parking but I dont think either one is signed stating that they are for customers only.

Thanks for the suggestions. Does not look like there are a lot of easy options.
