Either the search function here really sucks or there is no ruck at bears den this year. People on FB are talking about it so it is happening? Yet nothing here but bumped old threads with no replies. What's up? I live pretty close so 411 please

It was in the Get Togethers Forum, right where it should be.

Sorry cooker but I searched for it and it didn't show up. This forum is Paleolithic. Carry on like a bag of hammers though. I am sure we will all wake to your wisdom one day.

Yep. Use google site search when you really want to find something.

In case you're unfamiliar, Google's site search syntax allows you to search within websites from Google. If you wanted to find info on the Northern Ruck, your Google search query might look like one of these:

northern ruck site:whiteblaze.net
"northern ruck" site:whiteblaze.net

Both of these return informative results. Whiteblaze's in-house search function is about as effective as AskJeeves was in 1995. It's a major failure of the site, given that it makes it impossible for new members to find anything that might be useful to them. There is a wealth of information on this site that is essentially nonexistent because it can't be found using the conventional search method. People have complained (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?79272-Search-function) about (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?80290-Some-thoughts-regarding-quot-repeated-threads-and-the-quot-Search-Function-quot) it (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?73932-trouble-with-search) repeatedly (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?82608-Necessary-Mail-Drops&p=1271259&viewfull=1#post1271259) before but nothing changes. Best to use Google.
