I will be leaving Friday morning for the summer. I will miss drinking my tea and checking into WhiteBlaze every morning but I hear there is a life outside and I'm going in search of it.

Really I'm headed to the Adirondacks to work half the summer at a youth camp. (Anyone from up there??)

Then get in a little summer hiking, VT, NH, ME...

I will start off by finishing up my BMT hike on the drive up. (THanks to Gene R for all the help.) Just weighed my pack with 3 days of provisions, 17 pounds.

Then driving north. Anyone out there live near I-81 in PA?? I figure that is where I'll stop for the night.

I'll be emailing my wts into the "Walking Eagles" Group every Wed. - Good luck to all.

I hope to get in some more BMT hiking on the new trail on the return trip home.

Looks like I'm off for another summer adventure. Hope you all get out in someway and have one too.

I'd do either the Pavillion in Port Clinton or 501 shelter (ask but, drive you car out back by the shelter) or you could try Trailangel Mary

Since you'll be driving it wouldn't take long to get to the Doyle Hotel. There you'd mostly likely be in the company of plenty of hikers.

That's an idea I didn't even think about. I'll have to check and see how far off the interstate it is. :-?
