I am a big guy and in need of more space in my bag as I sleep on my side when in the shelters. Most of the bags I want to hike with are to small for my shoulders. I was checking out Big Agnes bags for the extra size when I came across the Sleeping bag expander.

Has Anyone Used a sleeping bag expander?

I have used a (single) "sweetie-pie" made by Functional Designs on my Cat's Meow but it is heavy and takes up a lot of space. It is also uses synthetic insulation. Take a look at the Montbell line of stretch and super stretch bags. They are sewn on the bias so they naturally stretch to give you a lot more space inside. They aren't cheap but weight and packed size are very competitive.

I'm a bigger guy too;6'6" 290lbs. Have the wedge and love it. Makes my Alpinlite bag fit super comfy. Definately worth the $60.
