Hot springs

Anybody know when the weather breaks in the mountains around hot springs? Looking for highs 60+ and lows 40+ Thanks

Last Tuesday it was 72* 20 miles north of Hot Springs and 27* today.Much colder in the higher elevations.I've read shelter registers with complaints about cold weather in May.The weather in the Southern Appalachians does not just all of the sudden "brake" and spring begins.I've seen snow showers in May and temps in mid 70's in April.If you don't like cold you probably should wait till mid May and cold days are few.Then after that I've seen 48* in July during a thunderstorm.If you're wet at that temp you still will feel as cold as a winter day....

Depends, I've hiked just north of Hot Springs in April, and had the weather drop into the thirties, and had it in the seventies. I'd go with the May suggestion if you want to be certain of warmer temps.
