Also check out the the Dream Hammocks: http://www.dream-hammock.com/Hammocks.html
I have a Dangerbird, which I like, is comfortable and fairly light weight.

I prefer a bottom entry, less chance of flipping over.... http://hennessyhammock.com/catalog/#hammock

Consider, if you need a bugnet, what is your height/weight, if you plan to use an under quilt or a pad.

I'm right around the 10 base weight with a Warbonnet BB and that is considered a fairly weight hammock, mine is around 28oz in the bag w/suspension.

I'm considering for when I don't need a bugnet, a longer more comfortable model made by Wilderness Logics called a Lite Owl http://www.wildernesslogics.com/LITE-OWL-LITE-OWL.htm Longer hammock, less calf ridge but can possibly require a longer tarp.

Lot's of great choices out there, makes it hard to choose. Personally I like the Hennessy's but wouldn't own one that didn't have a 2QZQ side zipper modification. Side sitting in a hammock like a lounge chair is something I do a lot.

My thought is that you don't want to get too far from UL, right? Wondering what your experience has been with bug netting and if you need it? I have an 10oz netless hammock and a 14oz (big) tarp.

IMO it is better to have bug netting and not need it. I like the BB and it is my go to hammock for overnights on the trail. I used a 1.7 double on the AT in GA last summer. Very easy to set up fast and literlly along the trail. At one point I could high 5 hikers walking along the trail while I was in my hammock taking a break beside the trail
