Good quality solar chargers will be limited in their effectiveness at times due to overhead foliage. REI has the Joos brand name solar charger that gets alot of accolades .

I don't have any specific recommendations, but I would suggest looking for just a panel, without a built in storage battery. A panel should be easier to attach to the top/back of the pack. Get the largest one you can afford.

Joos works great but a little heavy for backpacking as has built in battery. I've used mine on a few 2 week sup expeditions with no probs keeping iPhone and go pro charged.....I live in sunshine state though....:)

Here is a link from Stumpknockers FT journal, where he talks about the solar charger he took with him on this trip. He has used it quite a bit and hasn't said anything bad about it, later in the journal he gives a short term review.

+1 on the Suntastics. I pair it with a NewTrent charger (such as a http://www.newtrent.com/iphone-battery-imp500.html). I use the panel to charge the battery pack, then use the battery pack to charge the phone at night in the tent. A little extra weight, but I find using the battery works much better than directly charging the phone. Plus if you have a rainy day or two you have some reserve if you cant charge.
