Using the 2013 NoBo AT Guide on page 11(GA), looking at Mile 31.7 Neel Gap, the first thing I run across is Mountain Crossing (Full Service Outfitter), what I don't see is were it is off the trail. Does this mean it is visible from the trail crossing? Looking down further it shows Blood Mtn Cabins at 0.3 mi E, which is easy enough, but what does it mean when no distance or direction is indicated?

Also in general are their any issues locating resupplies from using the AT guide book?

Thanks

The trail literally goes right through it. If you miss Mountain Crossing seriously consider ending your hike. :)

Yup - they're located at Neels Gap on the AT - you'll have no problem seeing it :)

It's the only building that the AT goes through

This is the only building that the AT literally passes through. An old stone structure built by the CCC in the 1930s.

You'll see shelters noted with no distance or direction, also. That means they are right on the footpath. Sometimes 10 feet away, sometimes 50 feet or so, plainly visible.

A couple of issue might be the selection, the variety of what's available, but if it's in the book, there are enough supplies to get by. Also, pay attention to the hours of operation. Generally not a problem, but could be. And if a store (or motel, etc.) closes business, AWOL will post updates promptly and sometimes hikers will leave notes in shelter registers or along the trail itself, warning you.
