View Full Version : Mid-May Hike?
I am interested in hiking a portion of the trail this summer. I am graduating from college in early May, and would be starting mid-May. This would be my first time hiking the trail, so I would prefer to travel with someone else. I am flexible in terms of which portion and how long to hike.

I have a section planned on May 18 starting at Dicks Creek Gap and ending at Fontana Dam, app 95 miles. I have 10 days to do it but it probably won't take that long. Your welcome to come.

Hi lexicg & hiker guy, hiked Dick's Creek Gap to Fontana Dam this past October. Great hike that was moderately challenging with great scenery. For time management, it's probably more like 6 days / 5 nights. May would be perfect as the thru hikers should be flushed through that area. Steve
