Hi kayak karl (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/member.php?13768-kayak-karl) , I was born in New Brunswick, NJ, I dont miss the cold but, I do miss the people. Anyway, the Falcon Hammock is designed in such a way that it is adjustable. The tension of the central and side areas can be quickly changed... You could try a DIY hammock...ten years ago I made my first out of a bed sheet and some rope, took about 15 min. There are many videos on the subject, here is one--- How to tie the hammock knot (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJlEQpcbM1I) I would recommend that before you spend any money to see how you like it.

2. Need a total wt on your tarp page.
3. So is the top-quilt concept to just velcro the whole thing to the top edge of the hammock?
4. Need more options for quilts than just 35deg. But with 2" baffles it should be good to 20deg.
5. How is the versa-shelter a ground system, see #1?
6. What suspension and accessories are included with your hammock? Hammock page doesn't specify.

Several videos will be ready in a few days, as of now, this project is on Kickstarter and shows a brief video. I must admit I feel that also needs to be done over to better explain the unique aspects of the modular system. I do plan on offering packages as well as individual modules sold separately. In light of that, if you were to look at the Kickstarter rewards section you would see what I mean. Any additional input on this you are willing to offer me would be most helpful.

Interesting modular concept. Personally I think it needs to be wider. My first camping hammock was 4' wide....I'd never go back to one that narrow with the exception of my WB Ridgerunner which is an entitrely different animal. Four feet is too narrow to achieve much of a diagonal lay. I'd also like to know the weights....couldn't find it on the website. Obviously a lot of thought went into this hammock. I'd love to see a personal review of one. Cat in the Hat
