Does anyone have a suggestion for where to park a car in Hampton, TN? I called the local sheriff's office and they advised against parking at "Dividing Ridge" on 321. They told me that they have a lot of vehicle break-ins there b/c thieves know that cars parked there are hikers on the trail. They couldn't recommend any other place. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

You can park at Kincora hostel or Watauga Lake.

321 is very iffy. Its not as bad as 19E. But it still has a history. Kincora and Black Bear Resort. To the south, Mountain Harbour Inn.

When/what is your trip? I know a lot of maintainers and shuttlers in the area.

Yeah let us know when and where. There are lots of us in the area that might be able to provide a ride for you if able. I don't even like leaving my vehicles at the Hampton or 19E Roan Mountain trailheads for day hikes. Much less for multiday hikes.

does Sutton Brown still run Brown's Grocery Store in Hampton? he used to have that Bremmer Castle hiker hostel in Hampton. Sutton was always a big help to hikers in 2010 when I went thru Hampton

Last I heard, the Browns are taking time off from hiker services.
