Hey, Zelph, I have purchased several of your stoves, and your flat bottom fosters pot, and was wondering about that base youre using. Do you sell them for the flat bottoms to use with the starlyte burner?

Not battery operated. Thermal reaction between the platinum wire and the HEET alcohol. One of those "why does it do that" moments.

Will the lighter work with you Starlyte I just bought? In the video the stove seems to have a bit of a hole in the middle. Is that critical?
And being a chemistry professor, I really do want to know why it does that!

...... it appears that it will nest inside the Foster flat-bottom can (which i have), but i thought i'd ask just to confirm.

...... will it work with denatured alcohol, too, or just HEET?
hello Zelph. would you please put alcohol in that stove, then put the stove and the igniter in your freezer for a half hour or so. then try it. then tell us what happened!!!! thanks!!!!
