Although I've been plotting to do this for a while, it was only a couple of days ago that it was really a go. Surely 10 days is long enough to prepare for a thru, right?
I have a ticket to Gainesville and a reservation at the Hiker Hostel, everything else will work itself out.

Yup, it will be fine. It's really just a 4 day hike to Neels Gap, then another short hike, then another, and another.
Anybody can plan a 4 day hike....

You'll be fine. I did the same thing; gave notice and did all my "planning" and a few gear purchases at nite as I worked off my 2 week notice. Luckily, this was pre-internet so I wasn't able to review and research every little detail ad infinitum. :)
