i just purchased a Jetboil Zip this weekend, cooked on for the first time last night, most information has the fuel being removed from the stove for storage. my question is for the larger fuel cells is there any reason to remove to store since the larger fuel cell does not fit in the bowl?

Just for safety if the valve malfunctions

Ditto on what RF_ace said. Just so you understand, that's a small bomb you're carrying and it can hurt quite a few people around a picnic table if one blows up. While they are safe most of the time, removing the stove from the canister when you are done with it will help keep you a little bit safer.

i was also thinking it would save fuel, since everytime i put it on and took it off, fuel was released. i do agree with both of you that long term saftey is better than the short term fuel savings.
