Hey guys, I'm planning on trying a later than normal start due to not leaving until after college graduation. We get out early here in AZ - I will be flying to GA in the first week of May. I have most of my gear set after studying the numerous gear lists and discussions here. Of course, most people are starting in March/April so I am wondering if there is anyone with advice on how to adapt things for this late of a start at Springer.

Specificallly, should I be starting out with a cool(er) weather sleeping bag (25 deg) or warm weather (45 deg) bag?
Also, how much cold weather gear should I have on hand? My plan right now is - lightweight long underwear set, 1 short sleeve, and 1 long sleeve synth T's, convertable pants, midweight fleece jacket, and rainshell. About right? Too much? Or should I be looking to bring along another layer (eg. down jacket?).

I'm ill-experienced with the cold weather stuff coming from the Arizona desert! Thanks for any ideas!
