Hey I lost the number for the Joyce and Sally shuttle service. They are picking me up today and were supposed to meet me at winding stair gap but we got here early and are in te town so I want to call her and tell her the change. I called one number and got a machine. Is there another number I could call? Thanks.

don't mess with the shuttlers and their time...if you call and make an appointment and then decide it's easier to hitch before contacting them and cancelling the shuttle this is called Bu115hiT!

Not canceling. Just telling her I'm 10 miles into town. Only changing the location slightly. Still paying her 135 bucks for the ride.

If they're coming from Hiawassee it's 20+ miles more round trip. = ~$20+

I highly recommend Joyce and Sally shuttle service. Very nice folks. Used them last year.
If you wanted to do this it would make things super easy:
1. Before you leave call Joyce and Sally - the most reliable shuttlers I know of in Hiawassee. Tell them your plans and ask them how to get you from Dick's Creek Gap to a rental car office.
2. Their number: (706) 896-9339
Likely they will ask you to call when you are a few hours from Dicks Creek Gap and they'll be waiting for you when you get to the highway. Then, just relax and let them do the rest.

I know this is an old thread, but Joyce and Sally rock. I used them on 3 separate trips to get the section from Springer to Deep Gap done. Would have used them going farther north but they were on their annual big trip. I'll miss them as I head farther north!
