I was looking for an updated version and saw them going on amazon for $300 + !! Does anyone know why? Its a damm fine guide but holy buckets!
To bad I tore pages out of my 09 one lol!
You were probably looking at an old out of print collectors item. People collect back issues and sell them on amazon. You need a 2013 book.

Its no longer called Appalachian Pages, the current title for AWOL's guidebook is the AT Guide.

Oh im good on current guidebooks. I was just in shock at the astronomical price the old ones were being sold for. Collectable or not its just a guidebook and they arent but 4-5 years old. Seems like a strange market niche.

When you see those type of prices on Amazon, it's usually a "if you are willing to pay this, we will find it" and not something actually stocked.

Basically. Or it's a "I have one I don't want to part with, but I will for $200" kind of deal. There's no downside for the seller.

Lol guys. I figured it was something like that. My girlfriend and i were staring bewildered at each other like "who would spend that". Like theres a treasure map hidden in it on one of the town maps but its a big secret.
