Are there any restrictions regarding Stealth camping on the sections that run near the BRP and SD (ie Maupin Field shelter to Rockfish Gap)?

No restrictions at all. There are some great places to camp along this route, you can have a 'ROOM WITH A VIEW".

The section you list is only BRP -- the Skyline Drive's southern terminus is Rockfish Gap. On NPS land administered by the BRP, camping is only permitted in designated spots. Fortunately, the Parkway corridor is narrow in that section. Vertical, white rectangular signs with the NPS logo mark the boundary, usually pretty clearly. The AT is in the BRP corridor from Reed Gap to north of Three Ridges Overlook, close when west of Parkway (from Three Ridges Overlook to Dripping Rock), and then mostly exits the corridor between the Parkway crossing from Dripping Rock until the approach to Rockfish Gap. The only time I have heard of campers having issues in that section is when they camp too close to the Humpback Rocks Picnic Area.
