View Full Version : Sleeping Bag Question
I plan a section hike in mid June to mid July beginning in Pawling NY and ending at the Long Trail in Vermont. What degree sleeping bag is recommended for that area and time of year. I tend to be a cold sleeper but hate to sweat in my bag also. Thanks for any recommendations.
I would suggest a 40 degree bag. That should be plenty warm enough.

If this is for the one trip, 40 degrees should do it. For outside the warmest months, I'd go with a 20 degree bag and unzip it for a quilt on warmer nights. Enjoy your hike.
