Anyone know what material covers the handles on the Evernew Titanium cookpots and where I can get some?

I imagine tool handle dip would work. Sold in most hardware stores.

Yeah, you got this crap here:

but who can be sure of how it'd stand up to the rigors of a long hike.

Also checked out some heat-resistant silicone tubing:

but after taking the handle off my .9L evernew, it seems like it would measure smaller than what's available. I just googled "silicone tubing high temp". Good luck, let us know if you find something that works. I can already see that my pot will far outlast the HR tubing on the handles.

How about heatshrink sleeving.

It comes in various diameters.

I don't know what happens to it subsequently but it may be worth a try.

I contacted Evernew customer service at the number listed on their web page. This is run by a company in the USA that represents them. They are based in Japan. There are no spares in the USA. I got an email indicating I should hear from the company in Japan within a few weeks. (I would guess they are sending repair items and will post whatever happens.)

I wrapped mine with "magic tape"(silicon). works fine as long as not exposed to direct flames. Good to 600 degrees, buy at Walmart on the as seen on TV shelf.

Also on a site called http://www.briangreen.net/2000/01/about-brian.html he uses heating shrink tubing.
He is trying it out on a snow peak ti cup.

I think if you got heat-resistant silicone tubing with the right internal diameter it would work fine.
