i bought mine at walmart. one froze, another drowned, but it works and is cheap.

Mine is similar to this one (http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Sansa-m240-Player-Silver/dp/B000BP50AY). I mostly carry audiobooks and podcasts on the trail, but I like having the radio function. It also helps that it shares the battery type with my headlamp.

I have an eairler model which works well. they come with or without FM radio.

I also bought mine at Wal-Mart, it's an RCA brand runs on one AAA . was 20 0r 30 bucks tops. I've had no problems with mine
