I use bubble wrap to make mine for FBC. Make it a little oversize for my quart zip lock bags. Staple it together, sometimes I use clear packing tape. With care will last several weeks. Cost - almost nothing. Weight - under 1 oz.

Buy a cheap automobile windshield screen from a discount store along with a roll of duct tape.

Buy a cheap automobile windshield screen from a discount store along with a roll of duct tape. That's what I did. Sprung for a roll of "chrome" duct tape. My cozy for the SP-600 looks fabulous! :)

Reflex works much better than the windshield screen. It is much thicker and easier to work with. Cut two circles (top and bottom) and a rectangle (sides). Cut the rectangle as wide as the pot is tall with lid plus two thickness of Reflex. Cut it as long as the pot is around. Cut it long and slowly reduce the length 'til you get it just right. Put it together with Gorilla tape or the silver duct tape. After you get the sides the way you want it and together use the pot top as a pattern to cut the top and bottom. Silicone calking works to put in the bottom and to seal up the gap. If you have some sort of handle on the pot/cup cut a slit in the side to accomodate it.

Yes, they'll have huge rolls of it in the aisle with the fiberglass insulation... But you can also just pick up a cheapie car windshield reflector and cut that up.

I'm lazy and spent the $15 on an antigravity gear cozy. Much more durable than anything I would have made myself and its a perfect fit..

My wife made me one for my 700ml pot. She used Insul-brite, a material used in pot holders and some of my favorite fabric. See below
