There was an article in Carroll County Times(carrollcountytimes.com)stating that a 19-year-old from Florida died from injuries he sustained after falling 50 feet from a ledge at Annapolis Rock.

Sickening.

Old news I think.

Unless this is a different one, about a months ago at aprox 4 in the a.m. a dude fell after a night with friends, if not the same one, crap, sorry for his family and friends...but there are risks with every outdoor excursion.
We all know the dangers when we walk the edge of the cliff, or night hike, or proced into a thunderstorm or hike in knee deep snow while we are cold without having the proper gear, or stopping for a nap while we are soaking wet and it is 30 degrees out and not getting in a bag, or many other things

Yeah, it sucks, but better then dying at home on the couch eating a potato(e) chip.

This is not the same event as the teen falling at Raven Rocks last month (discussed here:http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?t=9125&highlight=died+rocks).

This seems to have happened over the holiday weekend. Annapolis Rocks is a popular top-rope climbing destination, but the article below says the boy was hiking.

Oh, man, hat's too bad. Somehow it always seems worse when someone so young dies.

Yeah, my friend Dave, the RR, was the one who gave him CPR. Very sad. Got a really frustrated email from him today. It's a tough situation
