Newfound Gap Road possibly re-opened

The Great Smoky Mountain Association is reporting that NC side of US 441 may have just re-opened. Can anyone confirm this?

I just received that notice also, but cannot confirm it on any of the other websites. Still searching...

It was just reported open from Sugarlands (Gatlinburg) to Cherokee with a pic of the roadsign on Facebook and their Twitter feed. Good news for sure.
