What do you listen to while driving to the mountains or wherever you're hiking. What music gets you pumped?

My taste in music are so varied, but typically it goes something like this.....but not in any particular order of play.

Grateful Dead
Makem and Clancy
Bob Dylan
Neil Young
Oldies and Motown
I guess my favorite genre (aside from classic rock) would be Folk, Bluegrass, early Americana and Old-Timey music, it's so rich!

All of the above with some old blues mixed in with some old bluesy gospel.

You name it I got it. When I got my I-pod for hiking I asked about 30 friends for any CD they had and down loaded it onto the I-pod. Its a little over 7,000 songs. Its like listing to 20 different radio stations on rotation. Oh heave the bible too. each chapter is treated like a song. So it mite go like this. ZZ tops, M&M, Mark Chaper 3. Never gets old. Only problem I have had is wire and tearing it in half. Oops no more music till I get to a town and get a new ear piece. .

My music is the sound of nature.

Sometimes the sound of traffic while driving isn't too appealing....

Glad you like it though.

When I'm hiking and camping, my favorite music comes from the owls and whipporwills at night (along with crickets) while during the day, it's cardinals, thrushes, warblers, and white-throated sparrows. And in Maine at all times: the loons.

Driving, I like any GOOD music, genre doesnt matter.
I cant stand BAD music, of any genre, and most of it is bad so I station surf a lot.

On trail, whatever the woods offers up. No electronic gizmos for me.

Used to hike with music, and then I almost stepped on a rattlesnake. Now, I save the music for camp, and keep my ears open while walking.
