Full Title:
How to Camp Out: Practical Advice for the Outdoor Adventurer Based on the Experience of a Civil War SoldierI found this and am fully enjoying not only the language, but how much of the 1870's camping ideas are echoed today (like trying to keep your pack to 20lbs).
And how some is just so very different. (Horses = car camping; Ladies can't climb hills...grrrr).
Anyway...it free and fun!

Another little tidbit found therein: did you know that in the Torah/Old Testament, that there is directions on how to poop in the woods??? (or desert, I guess). lol This book will point you to it! So to speak. ---Deuteronomy xxiii. 12, 13
Had to crack up at that.
