Just wanted to say hello with an introduction. Slvrfox is my handle, not my trail name, don't have one-o-those yet ;)
I'm planning an April 1 start, taking a 6 month sabatical from work, so its a pretty strict schedule. This year marks my 30th aniversary of backpacking, and although I do 50 milers every year, this way outclasses that, as you all know. I'll be doing the Shenandoah NP this September as a trial run.
I guess I feel pretty luck because I just stumbled upon this forum in a google search for some other information. :D So far, I'm pretty amazed at the weath of information contained here, thanks to all the contributors!
Anyway, look forward to reading all the great info and possibly meeting some of you on the trail someday.
