Are there any campsites past Cable Gap Shelter heading north to Fontana Dam?
Yes their is one about 1.5 miles North of Cable gap, Big Walker Gap there is enough room for a few tents and theirs a water source.
Three miles north of Cable Gap Shelter, several tent sites and water. The trail tops out at Walker Gap then starts descent to the dam, the camp site is a couple hundred yards further down the trail, look for the stream, can't miss it.
