A cute 21 year old female college student hiking in Colorado with a couple friends, ate mushrooms, got naked, and then got rowdy. Friends called 9-1-1.

35 deputies and other rescue personnel responded. :)

One guy had it right. You or I call a cop and we're lucky if one shows up in half an hour. Cute naked coed - we'll be right there.

Psychoactives like that can have wildly varying effects depending on the individual and their surroundings. Though it may be a small percentage there are always those people that will just react poorly, sometimes very poorly... But you know that, I'm sure. :-?

Despite her poor decisions I do feel bad for the girl, perhaps even more so for her friends, but at the end of the day it was just another unnecessary use of the rescue worker's time and resources. As I understand it in CO you can buy a fishing license and elect to pay into some type of insurance pool for rescue services... My friend didn't fish at all but explained that if he were snowboarding and needed rescue the $15 or so he spent on the fishing license would mean the rescue costs were covered. I wonder if this girl is getting a bill?

LOL LOL LOL 21 yr old female (not bad looking either!) gets shroomed out and naked on top of mountain and has to be rescued by 35 deputies and rescue personel. BEST story I heard all day.

Just look at that prima donna pose too. I got her name though. I'm going to call her up in about 10 yrs and remind her husband and kids what she did when she was 21! LOL.

You damn well know if it was me like two guys with cattle prods would push me naked down the mountain and into the back of a squad car. At the police station I would be handcuffed naked to a bench awaiting a bond hearing.

She's from Boulder too! Ha Ha. If I saw her walking down a street in Boulder I would say as loud and obnoxious as I could, "look there goes the hot naked I wanna do shrooms up on the mountain girl that had to be rescued!"

OM goodness. Where do I sign up for S&R?

Sad, she must have gotten really freaked out by the shrooms. That's shrooms for ya. 15 mins after eating the first two shrrrooooms. Uhh hey I'm not feeling anything. Those must not have been any good. Uhh, give me 2 more. No No not the little ones. I want the big ones. Are you sure? Yeah Yeah. Gobble Gobble Puke Puke 40 mins later she must have felt like she was on the Enterprise doing Warp 9 going down a rabbit hole. What kind of people was she with that allowed her to do that crazy crap?

Dogwood

Seriously, she obviously has some things going for her. Hope she learned what not to do and who she should be spending time with.

Hey, shrooms are a hallucinogen. People sometimes freak out and CAN get rowdy when they are hallucinating. What's there to wonder about? Any number of reactions CAN occur when people believe that what they are imagining are real.

Ha! My wife is definitely not a 21 yo college girl.

Mrs Mags was throwing me a birthday party.

No naked 21 yo college girls were involved.

BTW, something similar happened last year with college dudes.

I just got back from there (got back the day BEFORE this incident) had the mushroom pizza, nothing illicit about it. Don't trust the beer though, it's as strong as moonshine and is darn easy to drink.

Good wing men would have gotten her clothed and warm, and helped her ride it out, or escorted her out, without involving the authorities. But, I'm obviously an insensitive, old-school, rugged individualist. :)

Don't have to go to Boulder for great mushroom pizza. When in Gainesville Ga next try Mellow Mushroom Pizza. Don't expect Dominos, Little Ceasars, etc type pizza and don't expect their prices either.

Sorry for the drift.....the Elf and half of Connecticut are of Italian decent.....we know where to get good apizza......I would venture to say you could get a good pie in New Jersey to!

I'm enjoying the drift. Have to get my mind off naked 21 yo coeds being rescued off mountain tops. NJ and NY serve pizza(and Chinese food) on every other corner. Pizza has to be made by someone with a name like Vinnie, Pauly, Carmine, Vito, Luigi, etc. HARD to find a good pie in places like Utah, Idaho, and Hawaii though.

When I was unemployed and could not to be super extravagant with the cash, I promised the future Mrs Mags a nice meal on a spur of the moment discussion.

I could not afford a very expensive restaurant. However, I could, and can, cook.

Reached for the beans, reached for the macaroni and reached for the eggs. Grabbed some olive oil out of the pantry. Some veggies, garlic and onions. A bottle of red table wine was in the cupboard as well.

Some pasta fazhool (fagioli) and a fritatta was whipped up.

A simple meal. Peasant food Grandma called it.

But so yummy when done well.

What does Italian food have to do with a young woman in Boulder?

Well the future Mrs Mags did marry me. Must have been something in that macaroni. ;)

So there you have it...Italian food, a young woman, some hiking, Boulder...now we need to work beer into this thread.

OK, I'm bringing a keg of Brown Ale that I brewed up to Carroll County this weekend, to share with some friends with whom I have spent much time hiking in the Whites. We have also shared Italian food, and on occasion there were mushrooms involved (and onions and pepperoni). Lastly, I met most of their wives when they were 21 or younger. That should wrap it up. :)
