View Full Version : Fontana parking
I must not be looking in the correct spot , but I am having a really hard time getting information for week long parking at Fontana dam, is there a map or web page that has this information?
Park at the Dams visitor center. No other info is really needed.
Go to google maps and get in close to Fontana Dam and see the huge empty parking lot.
+1 on the visitor's center.

They encourage hikers to park in the upper lot.
I noticed that the visitor's center is only open from 9am-6pm daily. Does anyone know if there is a gate on the road that would block cars in/out outside of those times?

Theres no gate , the road is always open, so is the parking lot.

and for the warm months of the year, so are the showers.
The showers werent put there for the dam visitors either.:-?
