I thought this would be the appropriate subforum for this incident.
It wasn't on the AT, however a portion of the AT is @ harriman. I've considered the shelter points on the AT ok, this shelter is called stone memorial (STAY AWAY FROM IT LOL :banana)

I've camped there, years ago. A friend nearly stepped on a rattlesnake on the way in. I've never seen a person jump so high with a pack on. It's actually a nice place.
