To many hikers passing through the area I am sure at some point over the years came into contact with my dad as he shuttled you around. He was a fixture in his white Jeep Cherokee taking those to and from their destinations. He passed away June 10,2013 unexpectedly, which is a great loss to family and friends. My mother wanted me to share with you the information about his memorial service which will be held on July 23,2013 which would have been his 68th birthday. Time is 3pm at Mount Harmony Baptist Church off airport rd in Franklin, NC. He really enjoyed meeting all of you and we enjoyed hearing the stories of those he came across. We will truly miss him.
