What exactly is it? Amazon and Bing have no idea, either.

Looks like Backpacking Light sells it, but is out of stock ATM. Sign up for Restock notices: http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin/backpackinglight/aircore_2_spectra_cord.html#.UcecSD54Z9k

If you spell it right, you might be able to find it.
Bozeman Mountain Works AirCore 2 Spectra Accessory Cord - 50 feet
At a place called Frontcountry. No doubt there are other sources.
Hileberg Tents sells 2mm and 3mm Spectra cord. The 3mm is standard equipment on their tents.

Actually, with a further bit of sleuthing, it sounds like BPL hasnt had it since 2009.

I found a thread here: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10184&page=2 that says
"I am very sure that BPL renamed the Samson Rope Lash-It 3 mm as their Air Core Plus. I'm also sure that their 2 mm air core bear hanging rope is 2 mm Zing-It.

Samson has discontinued the 3 mm Lash-It. A guy was selling spools of it on ebay last year for a very low price - pretty sure Samson cleaned out their inventory by selling to him.

Samson still makes and sells the 2 mm and the 1.75 mm Lash-It. Both of those are also available in yellow as the Zing-It rope."

However, the above quote was written in 2009. I dont subscribe to BPL, so I cant check whats going on over there.

Sorry for the spelling. I forgot about hileburg tents. I don't do bpl eather. One or two of the other sites were out of it or site has moved. I did a search for arborist line and found it. I don't know why rei or campmor don't sell it. Thank you all for posting.

BPL hasn't sold any gear in years and they aren't likely to begin again. It is likely that air core is a branded version of a commonly sold item.

FYI, when searching, Spectra and Dyneema are the same substance manufactured by the respective name holders.
The final product is slightly different however in the 2mm size either will be stronger than the rest of your tent .
