With this years smallish snowfall, how will I be with water hiking from mid August into September? Should it be a concern?
Concern, no. Will you want to pay attention to a map and not walk past your last water for a while, yes.

I'm hiking the southernmost 52 miles and not worried about water.
We are 6" ahead on rain so far this year. And it's pouring now. It might help to know which section you are referring to for your hike.
My fault. Just noticed this hike is for the J!T.

I saw a lot of them on my recent trip to Iceland.

I returned from the JMT on 7-12. Water was not a concern. A lot of the "seasonal streams" on halfmiles app/maps were dry, but there are so many that are not listed/marked too. Water levels will be low and I personally wouldn't plan on aquaMira as my only treatment that late (it was fine from 6-29 to 7-12). A good filter will remove a lot of tne algae taste you will encounter in the smaller streams.

I bought a Sawyer Squeeze filter & I'm planning on taking that. Will it be sufficient?
