I saw on Vermont news the other day that so far this June is the 4th wettest on record. With all the thunderstorms perdicted for the rest of the week, it could become #3 by the end of the month.

I suspect it's a tad muddy in Vermud about now...

Muddy for sure. Could be a record for mosquitos too.

I'm inspired to sew bug netting on my tarp. They were bad enough last year. I can't imagine how exciting this year will be. Oh wait, I can. Hence the bug netting.

Well I'm not in Vermont but I can surely tell ya in North Carolina in GSMNP it has rained, sometimes very heavily, for something like 13 of the past 15 days. NC, in the first 6 months of the yr, has already experienced it's avg annuall rainfall! What do ya think I'm doing here on WB right now? I'm aiming for the longest BMT/AT 500 mile loop ever! Can I get a certificate for that?

Those little noseeum SOBs are a bitch right now. My legs and arms look like a red squared checkerboard of dots. Anyone want to play checkers? I have a board handy.

It's bad in FL too. Monster mosquitoes invade Florida (http://newsfeed.time.com/2013/06/10/monster-mosquitoes-emerge-in-central-florida/)<no joke. I skipped my loop hike this week cuz the skeeters are so bad and big.

Idaho sucks. You don't want to go there. Alaska, Hawaii, Maine, Montana, Oregon and Utah suck too. Don't go there either.
