I need a headlamp-my first. Uses: Backpacking, sailing, bicycle touring. General outdoor travel and use.
The Princeton Tec Vizz has attracted my attention for a variety of reasons:
Red LEDs. A must, especially on the sailboat.
Multiple light output modes from red to dim flood to bright flood to bright spot.
Waterproof. Submerged waterproof. Essential for my needs. I can't imagine NOT having a waterproof headlamp.
Regulated power supply. Lithium battery compatible.
Am I missing any faults?

Thanks for your help.

Amazon is my go-to for finding out about stuff like this. So far (only 4 reviews) people seem to like it. I think it looks pretty good too. 150L seems pretty good for a $40 headlamp.

The Vizz sounds like it has the features you want. If I was doing much saltwater sailing I would have a separate headlamp just for the sailing. Salt can eat stuff up like this type of headlamp.

Thanks. I'll buy 2. The Vizz must be new. Very little Internet chatter about it.
