Just wanted to say "thank you" to a fellow hiker here on WB...
Last week we ran into Ezra while hiking SOBO from Pen Mar to Harpers Ferry. We though we were going to be able to do the entire section in 5 or 6 days, but because of our age, surgeries, and the heat/humidity, we weren't making the progress we wanted to do.
Ezra showed up with a cooler of drinks and asked where we were headed. He gave us a lift to Pogo as he was going there to do some maintenance work and told us if we were not able to get to HF by Friday to give him a call and he would pick us up along the trail to get us there on time.
Well, he did just that. We offered to get him lunch but he had to get to work.
He is a great example of someone who makes himself available to hikers to hep out where and when he can.
Thanks Ezra, for looking out for these two old geezers and making our week on the AT a really enjoyable one!
