I use a Big Agnes Air Core. I love it's comfort. The only complaint I have with it is that it's about loud when I turn around in my sleep.

Recently switched from a big Agnes to a Z lite for the summer because I was moving around too much on the blow up.

Lonewolf- do you supplement the ridgerest with anything for winter?

Thermarest x-lite in warmer weather and x-therm in the winter. If I could only have one pad it would be the xtherm, it is incredibly warm.

It depends on trip length, time of year, and what pack I take.

Currently Im kind of liking my full length xlite. Ive slept very well on it for 2weeks this yr.
I sleep much better with a full length pad than a short one.
My old bones sleep better on cushy air than ccf pads too.

BA Air Core Insulated for cold weather, BA Clearview Airpad for warm weather. Air Pad is a bit loud when I shift. Would like an Exped UL7 Downmat for future mountaineering though.

thermarest neoair xlite - large
I used to use a thermarest LE for the thickness (2"). While it was heavy, I hated the narrow 20" width. My arms would be off the pad if I laid on my stomach or back.
By moving to the neoair large, I not only get 25" of width, the weight is (relatively) minuscule. (My neoair xlite large is about the same weight and packed size as my son's prolite regular)

Crap, I can cook. And I listen to chick music. I have hairy armpits and legs- but so do most trail chicks... Not looking good for me is it.

every now & then i was able to use my dog's thermarest, whenever she decided to sleep outside the tent in the grass
usually i used my z-rest, sometimes i slept against the tent wall & my dog had both pad's and most of the tent too :-)

Used an older short Prolite 3 for ages. Went big and got a Neoair Xlite LARGE this spring. Incredible nights sleep. I started to feel guilty about being so comfortable sleeping out in the woods. Where is the hardship and sacrifice? So I traded the Neoair in and got a new Thermarest Prolite in the long size. Perfect compromise between not being too comfortable and not suffering too much. :)

Z-Lite for shoulder season or more "social" trips.
Z-Lite and wife's NeoAir for winter

Something I wrote about pads. May be useful.

Some old sage on here once posted that you should never go out in the woods and depend on something that has a repair kit with it...I ignored this advice and opted for the comfort offered by an inflatable...which lasted until my second night on the trail...never again! Foam is the only way to go for the long haul....

this is what I have been using and its an absolute pleasure to sleep on. if i'm going somewhere where I know the ground is soft I will just use my cut up zlite which doubles as "support" in my ula cdt.

I agree with this. I tried an inflatable but ended up going back to CCF. I use a Ridgerest Solite and in the winter, pair it with an 1/8 CCF pad.

A Thermarest NeoAir Xlite large that I cut down by approximately half. I like the width of the large, but even for a tall guy, the length was just absurd.

I'm planning on using a Thermarest NeoAir XLite for my thru, but have been contemplating bringing my Thermarest Z-Lite instead due to above reasons. I know plenty of people have finished their thru with no problems on their inflatables, but it seems that I always fall into the small percentage where if something can go wrong, it most likely will...

Surprised there aren't more Big Agnes pad users. Not as comfortable? Too heavy? Both?

I was looking at the BA Q Core SL for my next pad. Anyone tried it?
