Good idea. Mine is www.trailjournals.com/weshallsee/ (http://www.trailjournals.com/weshallsee/). At least for now. My set up a separate blog once I get back to the US. Here in Tanzania, my internet is way too slow.

Awesome! If you don't mind me asking, what brought you to Tanzania? I saw that your volunteering on your trail journal. How's prep going for the AT?

Really enjoyed reading through your blogs, looking forward to meeting some extremely awesome people next year! I've started a bit of a blog as well, more just documenting for myself and helping me plan things a bit better really, and I'm doing some kit reviews for my work. :)

Good luck with all your preparations, see you next year!

You too!!! I saw you read "Appalachian Trials". My fiance and I really like the book. We thought it was great straightforward mental/psychological how to :)

Originally I came in 2008 as an independent missionary. It was truly a God thing. I ran a kindergarten for those two years. Later I came back but this time it all hasn't gone as well. I am anxious to get home and dig into preparing for this hike.

It was a really good read! By far the most useful guide I've read. I'm pretty happy with my equipment and everything but I've been pondering the mental side of things for a while; that's gonna be the hard part. Feeling a bit more confident now though. More excited than nervous!

Ha :) Nice. I saw you have your pack to 25 lbs with food and water? That's awesome. Right now, our winter gear included and food and water, our packs are around 30lbs. Without winter stuff, maybe 26ish. We both plan to spread everything out after our recent shakedown hike and cut corners wherever makes sense :o

I love the ’14 AT journals. I use NewsBlur to read blogs so I have an AT folder that is filling up fast. So far I am enjoying frogmonkey’s blog the most.
I think I am a terrible writer but I need somewhere to talk about the AT since my friends are tired of talking about it so I have started a blog. http://hangingonthetrail.wordpress.com/

My name is Erin "Wired" Saver and I'll be starting in mid April hoping to complete my Triple Crown this summer (PCT 2011, CDT 2013). I am known as Wired for my energy and exhaustive blogging while on the trail. My blog is www.walkingwithwired.com.
I was actually looking for a place to see other blogs from our class. Is there not a central page where we can post our blogs that aren't on trail journals?

Hey George- Not planning to skip mileage, just thought the number was more concise and easier for someone to remember if they asked about a blog page. Where the mileage changes almost annually, as you know, I thought this was a good round number to use.

Enjoyed your videos, Rickitikkitavi.
(I walked with you for a few miles way back in July in Southern Maine somewhere. The cold weather forced me off in Damascus, but I'm going back to finish next month.)
All the best for now.
