October section hike, Pen Mar to Front Royal

[Second Half]

Hi all: I've just decided to do an 8-9 day hike this fall between PenMar and Front Royal VA. I've put in for work vacation the week of Oct 14 so I'm looking at starting on Sat Oct 12. NOBO or SOBO doesn't matter, I'm just hoping for good fall weather and leaf color.

Anyone interested in joining in for all or part of the hike? I haven't even begun to plan the logistics/shuttling/etc. FYI I'm in NE PA about 3 hours' drive from Pen Mar and 4 hours from Front Royal.

Any and all suggestions/advice welcome.

This actually may turn into a NJ section hike, north from DWG thru NJ into NY. Anyone interested in such an outing?

Still planning to head out on the trail in one month. Am leaning toward the NJ/northbound plan, particularly if a certain Tennessean decides to join in. Anyone else heading out on/about Oct. 12?
