I have just returned from an 8 day trip in the UK ,my first using the Cape.I found it great, larger than I thought,though I am only 5ft 7in. I would certainly use this on the AT.
One night I was in a high wind so it was a bit flappy. I have tarped before and seen recommended for them, and the Cape, running a line through the rear or both side tie outs for a secure set up. I was considering threading a line through and leaving it in as to threading the line in windy conditions could be a trial in itself.
Anyone experience of doing this.
