Hello,
I've been fiending for another looong hike, it's been 13+ years since my nobo thru, & will probably be a few years until I can realize this as well. Was thinking of sobo just for a different experience (also quite a bit older & less social I guess). My main issue is how big of a motivator Katahdin itself is, such a Bang! at the end, you can see it long before your even near it, just makes north bound a bit more epic, like marching to Mount Doom.
So I thought a completely opposite grand finale would be the ocean. Does anyone know of other books on this route other then the Nimblewill Nomad one? his guide on his website is a bit out of date, & a few links don't work anymore. I've been to each of the separate trails websites & have info coming, as well as Mr. Nomads book. Still in the casually gathering information & funds planning stage.
