About 70 miles of backpacking in Utah in the Uintas Mountains along the Uintas Highline Trail. At ~55mi of 95, Mark and I took a 15 mi side trail out of the wilderness. He had a shin splint and we did not want to tackle the rough terrain ahead. Did not help that my left ankle was still tender from a tweaking it received while climbing about a month ago.

Garlic here on WB hiked back to our parked car and I hiked out with Mark to another TH.

Mark and Garlic generously offered to shuttle me to do the last bit of trail once we all got back together the following evening, but I decided to spend time with Adrianna instead with a last minute trip. (awwwwh! :) )

36 hrs in town made me consider other plans.

This trip was a good one and had one of the best meadows I've ever seen on the the side trail Mark and I took out.

Here are a few photos. Trip report with more deets and planning info to come soon:

And here's, why, in part, I decided to take advantage of the time and go on a quick trip with Mrs Mags after. :)

Mags, you inspire. Love you trip reports and pics. You settle me down and help me refocus back to what I do this for.

Never seen a pic of Garlic. I never forget a face. I've seen him at least once somewhere hiking.

Thanks!

IIRC, you met my buddy Mark a couple of years ago when you did the RMNP loop on the CDT. He stayed at Shadowcliff as well. Small world!

Very nice. You know, the Medicine Bow Mountains are within a long day's drive from where I live so I've been giving some thought to hiking there within the next two or three years -- your pics make it that much more inviting.

Nice mountains. Not overly crowded with great views.

Mrs Mags and I did a trip there ~3 yrs ago as well:

Oh yeah Mark is cool. He was doing an ought and back from Estes Pk to Shadowcliff.

Adrianna, has that better to go with the flow better to join him(Mr Mags) rather than fight him look on her face. Broke the poor girl's spirit for hand bags and shoes dragging her up and down mountains.:D You got a winner there. I can tell you know that. Any Mini Mags planned for?
