View Full Version : What type of fungus? (Picture)
I took this photo in Maine, right off the AT. What is it? Is it Yellow Staghorn? It looks like McDonald's French fries to me :D

Don't know the name, but have seen and photographed it from Georgia to Maine myself. I look forward to someone being able to name it for us.

Also resembles Calocera Viscoasa. (a jelly fungi)
Corals are somewhat brittle and these (jelly) are more rubbery and just a bit sticky.

Cro-Mag, if you want some mushroom experts to identify your mushroom get an account at http://mushroomobserver.org/, I've posted some pictures there and got some excellent feedback.
Thank you all for the feedback! I will take a look at the site above.
