Saw this product this weekend at Home Depot. It sheds water from fabric as if it were plastic coated. Curious if anyone has used it and what results they have had. Thought about an application for boots but concerned if this would prevent materials from breathing. Check it out on Youtube if curious.

I have not used it but the consensus of those that have seems to be that it is not effective on clothing or gear. A snow shovel maybe, but not backpacking equipment.

Expensive, crazy expensive to treat an entire tarp.

Changes the color of the surface that's treated.

Isn't durable.

+1 for Expensive !!! About $20.00 to treat 10 - 15 square feet.
