Anyone hear anything about this. I picked it up in Outside Mag and found some interesting stuff on the internet.

So as some of you know we got these elevated train tracks all over the city and there is one in Manhattan hasnt been used for a long time, i think it used to be a frieght line or something. Well someone had the good idea to take it and put a sort of elevated park on it. Its over grown with wild grasses and weeds as it is, so i guess if nature can make it work we could help it along.

Don't see good ideas like this too often.

It's true, an old freight line, that has not been used in decades.

It was just left to rot, then at one point they talked about tearing it down.

Finally got saved to be used as a park, but not openned yet.

The rail line use to go thru buildings.
