I'm not there but I've heard it has been a good, wet season even through summer and water is fine. Plus, all the rain from tropical storm Karen...

Unicoi gap to dicks Creek gap this weekend. Creek flowing well at rocky mtn and both Trey mtn and deep gap shelters.

I walked from Dicks Creek to Deep Gap in NC Sunday before last. The water pipe at Plumb Orchard shelter was "gushing". All other water features appeared to be flowing fine too.

Karen was over hyped. Nothing more than an overnight shower.

No problem with water in October. We did have a copperhead at Low Gap Shelter on October 21, but it was cold and he couldn't move. He is still there as far as I know.
