I visited my home state for a few days and besides the copious amounts of seafood I ate, managed to get in a short hike to one of my old stomping ground in the Arcadia Mgmt Area (state forest basically). Foliage was about peak all last week. Wish I had more time to get in a 'real' hike, but Mom would not have liked that. ;)

Oh sure...you come to RI and don't call me for a hike? I'm out here in "No Appalachian Mountains Land"..Throw me a crumb already! But seriously, let us know you're nearby next time and we'll get a magic bag to you. :)
What a great shot.
I can only imagine the photo you could take of the the ridge at Norman Bird Sanctuary in Newport.

Did you get your New England accent back the moment you got into town?
Nice photo. I haven't been to Arcadia in years. I hope you enjoyed your stay back in the biggest little state in the union. I plan on making a pilgrimage there next weekend. :)
