I just finished on the 20th, number 135, according to the Ranger at Baxter State Park. Congratulations to all my classmates who have summited, and good luck to the ones still grinding out the miles.

TJ, sorry it took so long to answer. I believe I was number 122 at Harper's Ferry. (Or somewhere close to that). However, there were several people that I know of who didn't get counted at HF , due to some less than friendly volunteers at the ATC. I wasn't treated too nicely, and had to almost beg to get my picture taken, and others didn't get the offer. So don't put too much stock in numbers coming out of the ATC at HF.
The weather at Katahdin was mixed. It was supposed to rain, so I left camp around 5 AM and got to the summit at 9:30. It was partly cloudy and I got some incredible views, and then as a front moved in, I was treated to a cloud show like I have never seen before, and I'm sure I will never see again. The moisture from the approaching front would materialize into clouds as it came up the southern side of Katahdin, race up and over everyone on the summit, and then curl, twist, spiral, and form fingers as it moved over the top of the mountain, and then the clouds would diasappear as they went down the norhtern side. It lasted for about thirty minutes, and then everything was swallowed up by fog that was blowing at around 50 or 60 miles an hour. An incredible payday for a long walk.
