Interesting piece on self serve cereal containers. Have a half dozen in the cupboard. Going to experiment on my outing this weekend. They sure do nest well.

Interesting, but I think I'll stick with my GSI graduated cup.

Shmaybix...I cant seem to make it hyperlink. It can be copied and pasted into the browser but wish I knew how to fix it. And thanks, I'll let you know how the bowls fared with hot coffee. Thats the standard of measurement I care about after all :-)

Thanks Rocket Socket! I think that's also the material that Walter White used to give people an acid bath in Breaking Bad. And I love a man that's confident calling another man babe ;-)

I read that Buddha walked all day in a robe with a bowl, hoping to be worthy enough to see it filled by others. I am not a Buddhist, But I like the simple attitude. I carry the small pot from my boy scout days, and the little green cup that came with it. Very light, a piece of history, durable.

I have my titanium mug for boiling water, and a set of two squishy bowls for everything else. Usually the larger bowl holds food (grits, instant potatoes, etc) and the small bowl holds drink (hot cappuccino, spiced cider, etc). I don't put any real food in my metal mug, so I don't risk burning stuff in it. It does clean well with sandpaper, but that's not something I want to do often. Windscreen rolls up inside mug. Small bowl goes in mug with Fancy Feast stove. Large bowl inverts on top of mug, holding lid down. The whole thing is only slightly taller and wider than the .7L mug by itself, and resembles a little space probe of some sort.

Well... tried it out this past weekend on my trip along Florida's Withlacoochie river. They were certainly light, but ultimately not worth trading my regular set up for. My normal .7L Stanley pot with lid and folding handle can nest my small resin cup inside along we with my pocket rocket and small jetboil canister (msr canister too wide). Hot drinks made holding and drinking from them way to precarious.

Campbell's Soup Hot and Handy Microwave Cup. It's a sturdy cup so I don't have to worry about crushing it and it's got a lid so I can put stuff in it. There are probably better cups for weight or bulk or price, but it doesn't burn my tongue like the Trangia aluminum cup did, so I like it.

I like that cup. I've used it before. I think I'd like it better if it said "Maxwell House". :)
